How to use LazyLines

Updated over a week ago

LazyLines is your AI content creation assistant for creating viral content. Think of it as ChatGPT with social media superpowers—it can search for viral videos, analyze competitors, combine multiple sources, and create content in your authentic voice.

Getting Started: Your First 10 Minutes

Step 1: Set Up Brand Profile (5 minutes)

About You:

  • Add business info, what you do, target audience

  • Paste your website link

  • Upload relevant files

  • Example: "LazyLines, a content creation tool that helps businesses create social media content"

Voice & Style:

  • Upload 5-10 of your best posts/videos OR

  • Describe your voice: "Casual, direct, slightly sarcastic. I avoid jargon and speak like a friend"

  • Mix both for best results

Content Pillars:

  • List main topics you cover

  • Used for personalized For You videos and content planning

Goal: Reach 50%+ completion for best results

Step 2: Try Your First Quick Win (5 minutes)

Choose ONE:

A) Clone Your Best Content

1. Find your top-performing video/post 2. Paste URL in chat 3. Turn on Brand Profile toggle 4. Prompt: "Turn this into 10 TikTok scripts in my style" 5. Get 10 scripts in separate canvases

B) Competitor Research

1. Go to Inspiration → Search your niche 2. Add 3 videos to chat 3. Prompt: "Analyze these and write me 3 scripts using their patterns"

C) Trend Research

1. Prompt: "Research trending videos in [your niche] on Instagram and TikTok" 2. Then: "Based on the top 10 videos, write me 5 scripts in my unique style"

Step 3: Edit in Canvas

Every script appears in its own canvas where you can:

  • Edit manually (full text editor)

  • Highlight text and ask AI to adjust: "make this simpler"

  • Click "Humanize" to remove AI words (unlock, leverage, discover)

  • Click "Simplify" to reduce reading grade level

  • Click "Hooks" to regenerate opening options

  • Save when you're happy with it

Example workflows:

1. Train AI on Your Voice

Step 1: Set Up Brand Profile

  1. Go to Brand Profile → Voice & Style section

  2. Add 5-10 content examples (more = better results):

    • Your social media profile links (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube)

    • Individual post URLs with strong voice

    • To replicate someone else's style: Add their content instead

  3. Or upload files (scripts, blog posts, emails)

  4. Or type your style description: "Casual, direct, slightly sarcastic. I avoid jargon and speak like a friend. Short sentences. Lots of questions."

Step 2: Test & Refine

  1. Test WITHOUT Brand Profile first:

    • Turn OFF Brand Profile toggle

    • Prompt: Write me a TikTok script about [your topic]

  2. Then test WITH Brand Profile:

    • Turn ON Brand Profile toggle

    • Same prompt: Write me a TikTok script about [your topic]

  3. Compare the difference

  4. If results aren't right, go back and add more examples or refine your description

Troubleshooting:

  • Still sounds generic? Add more diverse examples (videos, posts, emails from different contexts)

  • Too much like someone else? Remove their content, add only YOUR examples

  • Inconsistent? Reach 50%+ Brand Profile completion for better results

2. Analyze Competitors & Adapt Their Strategy

Copy-Paste Prompts:

"Research the top 10 Instagram accounts in the [fitness coaching] niche. Analyze their latest 20 posts and tell me: - What content types perform best - Common hook patterns - Topics that get most engagement - Content gaps I could fill"

Or for specific competitor:

"Analyze @[competitor_username]'s top 20 Instagram posts and worst 10 posts. Tell me the key differences in: - Hook styles - Content structure - Topics covered - Visual presentation"

Best for Deep-Dive: Profile Analyst

  1. Go to Profile Analyst

  2. Enter competitor's Instagram username

  3. Sort by: "Most Views" (top right)

  4. Filter: "Reels Only" (to focus on video content)

  5. Add top 5 videos to chat

Copy-Paste Prompt:

"Based on these 5 top-performing videos: 1. What hook styles do they use? 2. What's the content structure? (problem-solution, storytelling, educational) 3. What topics get the most views? 4. Give me 5 content ideas that adapt these patterns to my brand"

3. Batch Create a Month of Content

Step 1: Prepare Brand Profile (if not done) Minimum required:

  • ✅ "About You" section filled (who you are, what you do, target audience)

  • ✅ At least 3-5 examples in "Voice & Style"

  • ✅ Main topics in "Content Pillars"

Step 2: Ask for Batch Creation

Copy-Paste Prompts (Instagram Reels):

"Batch create 15 Instagram Reels scripts about [productivity tips]. Requirements: - Educational and actionable - Casual, conversational tone - 30-60 seconds each - Each should solve one specific problem - Use proven viral hooks from your database"

Copy-Paste Prompts (TikTok):

"Create 20 TikTok scripts for [fitness beginners]. Content breakdown: - 7 quick tips (15-30 seconds) - 7 myth-busting (30-45 seconds) - 6 transformation stories (45-60 seconds) Make them entertaining and easy to follow."

Copy-Paste Prompts (LinkedIn):

"Write 10 LinkedIn posts about [marketing strategies]. Style: - Professional but approachable - Start with a bold statement - Include 3-5 actionable points - End with engagement question - 150-200 words each"

Step 3: Edit & Save

  • Each piece appears in separate canvas

  • Quick scan: Open top 10

  • Edit individually using Canvas tools:

    • Click "Humanize" to remove AI words

    • Click "Hooks" to try different openings

    • Highlight text: "make this more specific"

  • Save favorites

Troubleshooting:

  • All posts feel same-y? Add variety requirement: "Use different hook styles: 5 question hooks, 5 stat hooks, 5 story hooks"

  • Quality is low? Reduce batch size to 10, be more specific about requirements

  • Wrong tone? Check Brand Profile is ON, add more voice examples

  • Not enough depth? Ask for specific structure: "Each post must have: hook, 3 main points with examples, clear CTA"

4. Create High-Converting Ads

Step 1: Find Winning Ads

  • Search: Your product category + competitors

  • Copy 3-5 successful ad links (look for long-running ads = they're working)

Step 2: Analyze in LazyLines Paste ad links in chat (LazyLines auto-transcribes video ads)

Copy-Paste Prompt:

"Analyze these ads and tell me: - What hook styles are used? (pain point, curiosity, social proof, etc.) - How is the value proposition structured? - What objections do they address? - What CTAs are most effective? - What's the typical ad length and pacing?"

Step 3: Create Variations

Copy-Paste Prompt:

"Based on these winning ads, create 10 ad variations for my product: Product: [Your product name and description] Target audience: [Who you're selling to] Key benefits: [3-5 main benefits] Price point: [If relevant] Ad breakdown: - 2 pain point hooks - 2 curiosity hooks - 2 social proof hooks - 2 urgency hooks - 2 transformation hooks Each ad should include: Headline, body copy, and CTA."

Troubleshooting:

  • Ads sound too generic? Add: "Include specific numbers and results: 'Save 5 hours/week' not 'Save time'"

  • Not persuasive enough? Add: "Use the PAS framework: Problem → Agitate → Solve"

  • Too long? Specify: "Keep headline under 40 characters, body under 125 characters"

  • Can't decide which to test? Ask: "Rank these 10 ads by likely performance and explain why"

5. Content Research System

  1. Go to Profile Analyst → Enter competitor's username

  2. Sort by: "Most Views"

Copy-Paste Prompt:

"Analyze these 5 videos and tell me: - What topics get the most views? - What hook patterns do they use? - What's their content structure? - Give me 10 content ideas I could create based on these patterns"

Method 3: Multi-Source Research in Chat

Broad Research:

"Research the top 10 accounts in [your niche] on Instagram and TikTok. Analyze their content and tell me: - What content patterns work across all of them? - What topics are oversaturated? - What content gaps can I fill? - Give me 20 unique content ideas based on these insights"

Or paste multiple profile URLs directly:

[Paste 3-5 competitor profile URLs] "Compare these accounts and identify: - Common winning patterns - Unique differentiators - Content opportunities - 15 content ideas that stand out"

Add Multiple Sources for Deep Research:

  • 3 YouTube videos on your topic

  • 2 articles with data/statistics

  • Competitor profiles

  • Your own past performing content

"Synthesize insights from all these sources and give me: - Top 5 content themes to focus on - 3 unique angles no one else is covering - 20 specific content ideas with hooks"

Troubleshooting:

  • Research feels scattered? Pick ONE method and go deep (don't mix all 3 at once)

  • Too much info? Start with 3-5 sources max, then expand

  • Can't find gaps? Compare 5+ competitors to see what everyone's doing

  • Formats don't fit? Filter Inspiration by specific keywords in your niche

6. YouTube Video System

Step 1: Research Best Practices

Copy-Paste Prompt:

"Research viral YouTube videos in the [your niche] niche. Analyze: - What video structures work best? (how-to, storytelling, listicles, etc.) - Common opening hooks for high retention - Video length sweet spots - How top creators maintain engagement - Typical CTAs and end screens Give me a template for a high-performing YouTube video structure."

Step 2: Get Video Ideas

Copy-Paste Prompt:

"Based on this research and my content pillars: [list pillars] Give me 20 video ideas that: - Solve specific problems my audience has - Have good search volume potential - Aren't oversaturated by competitors - Fit my expertise level Rank them by likely performance."

Step 3: Create Full Script

Copy-Paste Prompt:

"Write a complete 12-minute YouTube script for: [chosen video idea] Structure: - 0:00-0:15: Cold open (pattern interrupt hook) - 0:15-1:00: Intro (value promise, what they'll learn) - 1:00-10:00: Main content (break into 3-4 sections with timestamps) - 10:00-11:30: Summary of key points - 11:30-12:00: CTA and next video tease Style: Conversational, like talking to a friend. Include examples and analogies."

Troubleshooting:

  • Script too generic? Add: "Include 3 specific examples or case studies with numbers/results"

  • Too long/short? Specify exact length: "This should be exactly 10 minutes when spoken at normal pace (1,500 words)"

  • Retention concerns? Ask: "Add retention hooks every 2 minutes (teases, questions, transitions)"

  • Missing personality? Check Brand Profile is ON and add: "Make this sound conversational with personal anecdotes"
