LazyLines provides several ways to create scripts, which might seem overwhelming at first glance. To help you navigate, we’ve organized the options into three main categories:
Convert Existing Content into a New Script
Create a Script from an Idea
Script Using Formulas
Let’s break these down:
1. Convert Existing Content into a New Script
Best for: If you’ve found a viral piece of content or already have one and want to recreate it with your unique style.
What it is:
This option allows you to take an existing piece of content and generate a brand-new script based on its core idea, but with your own voice, tone, and style.
Applicable tools:
Supported content types for “Steal Like an Artist”: Articles, YouTube Shorts, YouTube Longs, TikToks, Reels, Tweets, Threads (LinkedIn support coming soon).
On these pages, you can either provide or choose an existing content piece. LazyLines will extract its key idea and turn it into a completely new script in your unique voice.
Why use this: The success of a content piece often depends on its core idea. With this method, you can “borrow” the essence of popular content without actually copying it, giving you a fresh script that still taps into proven successful ideas.
Process:
Select a content piece from the Research section, or provide a link in Steal Like an Artist.
Enter your script preferences (tone, length, etc.).
Click "Write Script."
LazyLines will analyze the content and extract its core idea.
It will then conduct additional research to create a unique, valuable script.
Pro Tip: Shorter content inputs (like a single article or video) tend to work best because they usually revolve around one clear, central idea—unlike podcasts or long-form discussions that touch on multiple concepts.
2. Create a Script from an Idea
Best for: If you have a content idea in mind and want to create a script from scratch—simple and straightforward.
What it is:
This option allows you to generate a script based on a content idea that you either come up with yourself or that LazyLines has generated for you.
Process:
Go to the Script from Idea section.
Enter your idea or select one that LazyLines has generated.
Set your script preferences (tone, length, etc.).
Click "Write Script."
3. Script Using Formulas
Best for: If you want to take advantage of proven script formulas and storytelling frameworks, this option is perfect for you.
What it is:
This is a new feature in LazyLines that gives you access to a library of predefined, viral script formulas. After analyzing over 118,000 short-form videos, we’ve identified storytelling structures that consistently perform well. You can select one of these formulas and use it to guide your script creation.
Why use this: By using these proven formulas, you increase the chances of your script performing well, especially for social media content.
Process:
Click on Use Formula at the top right corner.
Browse and select a formula you like.
Enter your idea and set your script preferences.
Click "Write Script."
These options give you flexibility in how you approach scriptwriting, whether you’re looking to revamp existing content, start fresh with a new idea, or rely on formulas that have already proven their effectiveness.
